Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship

A program recognizes student innovation and youth-led solutions to fight hunger in the U.S. These young people are creating awareness and mobilizing peers in their communities to be catalysts for change.

Scholarship winners receive a $5,000 scholarship and a $5,000 grant for their hunger-related charity.

The annual application period is October 5-December 5.

Why does education matter to you?

Applicants must:

  • Be thirteen (13) years of age or older at the time of application

  • Be legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia

  • Be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education

Submit an online written response to the question:
"What would you say to someone who thinks education doesn't matter, or that college is a waste of time and money?" (250 words or less)

The Education Matters Scholarship winner will be notified by email or phone on or around February 29, 2020.
